Today, after 2 years of hard work (and a dollop of stress here and there) the first ever copy of The Written Graphic Novel landed on my doorstep.
In short, I'm elated. The novel looks stunning, if I don't say myself. It's always a bit nerve-wracking getting the first ever proof through, as you never know what might have slipped through the net, or what has gone awry at the printing house. But all the hard work has paid off and the printers have done an incredible job with it. The novel looks really unique thanks to their special matte paper, and with black page edges, it's going to look dark and brooding on the shelf. Just as Farden would like it. I'm so very happy.
What this means is that The Written Graphic Novel will be available to you lovely public by Christmas. I'll be releasing it on Kindle and in paperback as soon as the Kickstarter backers are sorted out, which will be very soon indeed. It feels great to be so close to publishing it.
But for now, I am going to crack open a beer, and breathe a great sigh of relief. I think myself and artist Mike deserve it!
Have a great night, whatever you're up to.
